Why Sync exists

The free CLI is the real product. It’s not a trial. It’s not limited. You can use it forever on a single machine with unlimited tasks and never think about us again.

Sync is for the moment you want more reach. You add a task on your laptop and need it on your desktop. You want your tasks to show up as calendar events on your phone. You want your AI assistant to manage your tasks while you think out loud.

That’s three interfaces to the same task list: your terminal, your calendar, and your AI assistant. Sync makes them all work together.

What you get

Cloud sync — Your tasks follow you. Add a task at work, see it at home. Every device sees the same state, always current.

Live calendar subscriptions — Tasks with times become calendar events automatically. Subscribe once in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that reads ICS feeds. Recurring tasks become recurring events.

AI assistant access — Tycana speaks MCP — the Model Context Protocol that Claude, GitHub Copilot, and the next generation of AI tools use. Nine tools, full read and write access. Ask your AI to add tasks, check what’s overdue, mark things done. Your AI assistant becomes a natural language interface to your task list.

Spaces — Separate work from personal. Create a space for a side project. Invite collaborators. Each space gets its own task list and calendar feed.

What we don’t do

No trials. No credit card required for free. No “upgrade to unlock” prompts in the CLI. No selling your data. Optional anonymous usage metrics (opt-in, never your task content).

Your tasks are plain YAML files on your machine. Always readable. Always yours. Cloud sync is additive — it doesn’t change how the CLI works, it extends where your tasks can go.
